Elevating the perception of materials associated with femininity, my affinity for textiles is at times portrayed as a second skin, at others an architectural portrait resting in a landscape. Fragments of the figure float between a pictorial and sculptural space. I try to weave the two with threads of familiarity, using color and texture to suggest a tactile experience. I want to create tension within equal and opposite relationships.
