About the artist:
Bio: Sarika Dandona is an Abstract and Fine Art Photographer from New Delhi, India. Winner of several awards at the prestigious Prix De La Photographie Awards (PX3), Paris and International Loupe Awards (Australia), she has also been a gallery artist with The Egg Art Gallery and Studio, New Delhi, India. her work has also been part of group shows in New York City, London and New Delhi. Her signature style is to delve deep into her subjects and draw out surreal yet intricate abstractions from a fusion of colours, shapes, contours, materials, textures and nature with the interplay of light and shadows. There is an underlying movement and flow in her work that channelized bursts of energy towards a sense of peace and tranquility. Her primary body of work transforms mundane, everyday objects with a strong element of intrigue to challenge first impressions. An alumnus from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, Sarika's background in Microbiology and Biotechnology research followed by her work as a journalist and now as an entrepreneur and consultant in Healthcare and Life Sciences for almost two decades, has strongly influenced her inherent ability to visualise objects internally, up-close with an eye for abstracts with detail and multi-layers.
