About the artist
Bio: Through the camera lens, drawings and from life I paint from realism to the abstracted form to celebrate beauty of natural and architectural spaces and the faces of the human condition. I paint the spatial layers of gardens, the synthesis of structure and places where light defines nature. Through the expression of realism I push boundaries of meaning and contrast. My principle medium is oil on canvas. I paint commissioned portraits in oils and acrylics from the photograph and from life. I graduated from the Toronto School of Art in 1986 having painted as a practicing artist to the present. I teach painting classes at the LucSculpture Art School in Toronto.
