About the artist
Bio: Amanda J. Chevalier is a freelance artist who resides in Schuylkill Haven, Pennsylvania with her wife, dog, and their two cats. A graduate of Blue Mountain High School, Amanda continued on to study at Kutztown University of Pennsylvania, and later The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Amanda works in a large variety of mediums, and prides herself most on her versatility. Working under the pseudonym Sub-Culture Vulture, her work takes on an illusrative, urban feel. As a portrait artist she uses graphite, charcoal, and, pastels to soften and hone her pieces. Her original pieces feature emotional themes, and focus on issues that affect her, her family, and the LGBTQ community. All of Amanda's art is punctuated by vibrant bold colors, and unique fantasy/science fiction elements. An artist for any occasion, she strives to bring her own style and conviction to every piece she creates.
